GitHub Copilot restructures: new Max plan at $100/mo, everything moves to AI credits
The usage-based shift announced for June 1 has landed as a full restructure. Copilot now runs on AI credits (1 credit = $0.01): Pro $10/mo includes $15 of monthly credits, Pro+ $39 includes $70, and a new Max plan at $100/mo includes $200 in credits for sustained agent workflows. The $19 Business seat is gone from the consumer plans page — org buyers go through GitHub's enterprise channel. Any comparison quoting four tiers with Business at $19 is now stale.

GitHub Copilot moves to usage-based billing June 1
GitHub is shifting Copilot toward usage-based billing from June 1, 2026. The $10/mo Pro price is now an entry point, not a budget ceiling — agent-heavy workflows will bill beyond it. Budget accordingly.
